RHYL AND ST. ASAPH
Brief description of fishery:
We have two rods here every day.
The club beats offer undoubtedly the best game fishing in the area. They are well known for their sea trout fishing. Some of the sea trout caught each year on these beats weigh in excess of 10lbs. The main run of sea trout usually starts entering the river system from June onwards; some large fish enter early in May. The best months for night-time fly-fishing are usually July and August. Grilse start entering the system in August and these are followed in September and October with the back end run of Salmon. There are no grayling in this catchment. The club allows all legal fishing methods to cater for all tastes.
They have an excellent website, www.rhylandstasaphanglers.co.uk with full details of all their beats. Please note however that we are not able to fish all the beats shown on their website. The ones we can fish are listed below and the others cannot be fished as they are restricted to their members only. Numbers in brackets refer to beat labels on Rhyl and St. Asaph website.
