LLYN DIWAUNEDD
Brief description of fishery:
We have ten rods here every day during the season. Llyn Diwaunedd is a natural mountain lake of 40 acres with an abundance of wild brown trout. The lake also contains Arctic Char in its deep waters which anglers are asked to return to the water if caught. Be aware that the lake is at an altitude of 1200 feet and weather conditions can change and close in quickly.

Take the A470 from Betws-y-Coed towards Ffestiniog. About 1.5 miles past the village of Dolwyddelan turn right for Roman Bridge (Pont Rufeinig) Station. Follow the lane over the river and past a farm and through a farm gate across the road. After the stream going under the road you will see a gate to a forest track on the right. The gate has a combination lock. The code for 2025/26 is 1725. You must relock the gate. The lake is a further 2 miles up the forest track with parking beside the lake.
At the moment access is better with a 4×4 or on foot
